Provides quality care to individuals and families requiring home support and/or personal care services to restore and maintain the client’s physical and emotional well-being, while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Under supervision of an assigned professional nurse, assists with the physical and personal care of clients to restore the activities of daily living. Duties include non-health services to maintain a safe and clean environment, planning and preparing meals, and maintaining current and accurate client records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (Diploma or GED).
- Must have completed a Home Health Care Aide Certification Course.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have the ability to read, write, understand, and carry out directions, maintain simple records, and function with minimal supervision.
- Must respect client confidentiality, have an empathetic attitude toward clients and families requiring care and must continue certification requirements as a home health aide.
- Must have reliable means of transportation and the ability to travel to and from required locations as needed to perform the essential responsibilities of the job.
- Previous related experience is a plus.
